HIALEM is an acronym. Here I Am Lord Evangelistic Ministry. It was started in March of 1995 by three founders . The focus of the ministry is to hold crusades in the villages, and reach souls for Christ throughout the continent of Africa. The ministry has grown much since then to now 100 active core members, and 400 other members who occasionally support the ministry. From what we have experienced, there is a great spiritual hunger in Africa, and we feel that God called us and is leading us to expand to the neighboring countries and establish ministries such as HIALEM. more on expansion.

The crusades attract over 2,000 people per day. The team stays at the locations for a period of one week, and during the crusades, there are several activities, such as, door to door evangelism, seminars, and they show the Jesus film. For all the success of this ministry, we can only give God the Glory, for manifesting Himself and directing it.

HIALEM networks with the local churches and ministries in Africa. We are a non denominational ministry, but work with churches and Christian organizations that believe in the basic Christian tenets.

HIALEM also Started AFRICAN STREET KIDS in 1997 in Nairobi Kenya. The ministry to the street kids was started as a community awareness outreach program. Because of lack of finances, we are only able to feed the boys: occasionally clothe them and take care of their emergency medical needs. We have 30 kids whom we feed one meal a day. We have to change the feeding locations daily due to the huge number of kids who turn up. Many of our kids are orphans due to Aids. Some have a single poor parent who is not able to feed them, while others have been abandoned by their parents due to severe poverty. For more information, please click here.

HIALEM 'S headquarters are in Kenya and is registered as an non profit corporation, Reg # 38691. The ministry is also registered in U.S.A.
